Wills and Estates / Powers of Attorney and Curatorship
We listen to your unique needs to ensure the protection of your wealth and the proper management of your assets during your lifetime and following your passing, no matter how large or small, whether you are a corporate or individual client.
We can assist you with the preparation of a durable power of attorney for your personal care and/or business in the event of incapacity, the preparation of general or specific powers of attorney for a particular power, inter vivo trusts, estate freezes and with a variety of other techniques to help you achieve your wishes.
We pay close attention to details so that you can achieve your goals through sound organization of your affairs and take steps to minimize potential financial impact on your estate. This will facilitate the management of your estate by your loved ones following your passing.
We understand that the role of an attorney or executor is often assigned to a family member who has never before acted in such a capacity and that each estate may have unique characteristics. We can assist you in the execution of your powers of attorney, such as by applying to the court for Letters Probate or by assisting you in the liquidation of an estate.
We also understand that you may be faced with situations where a loved one has not prepared a will or power of attorney. We can assist you in taking the necessary steps on behalf of that loved one, such as by applying to the court for letters of administration following the death of a loved one or by applying to the court for the appointment of a curatorship in the event of a loved one's incapacity.
